UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (UCC)
First Church is a member of the Northeast Wisconsin Association of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Church of Christ denomination. First Church inherited its denominational membership when the Evangelical and Reformed Churches (First Church was one of those) merged with the Congregational Christian Churches in 1957. First Church actually joined the merger in 1961.
Like each person, each church in the United Church of Christ is different. That spirit is honored and celebrated in this denomination. “Honored”, because each church is autonomous and practices may vary widely from church to church. And “Celebrated”, because God’s gift of love and mercy is offered unsparingly to everyone just as they are and where they are by members and friends in our churches.
