Welcome! I am so glad you took a moment to explore our ministry at – www.firstgb.org – I pray that you will find something of interest on these pages.
I have been blessed as the Lead Minister at First Church for over 30 years. My wife, Jane, and I have seen a lot of changes over the years, but the one constant is a church culture of people who Love God and their Neighbor. I say this because Christians are often criticized as being too judgemental. I suppose we all make judgements, but my experience of First Church is that the members and friends are truly an open arms community.
My hope is that you will check us out . . . you know, look over the website and return often (as you can see we are still updating the site). You may also want to send me an email or call with a list of questions. Maybe a drive by is in order. Our main entrance is the carport on Webster Avenue and you will see that parking is limited. Don’t let that scare you, we have a couple of worship times on Sundays during the school year. Most of all, when you have scoped things out and prayed about it, please stop in for a visit on Sunday morning, You will be glad you did.
Thanks again for your interest. May God bless you as you search for a church home.
I have been the Administrative Assistant since April 2007.
I am married to Brian and we have two beautiful daughters (Kyrsten and Danielle) and a dog. In my spare time I enjoy camping, downhill skiing, and spending time with my family and friends. Even though we are empty nester’s, we still manage to have a very busy schedule.
I am also very involved as a member of First Church. I am a youth leader for our A2J Youth Group. I have been on eleven mission trips and enjoy spending time with the youth at First Church.
